As part of Arts Award Bronze, students are expected to review an arts event (in any medium) and share their reviews with others. It’s particularly good if the student can provide evidence of how the event influenced their own creative work.
One student recently went to the cinema to see He Named Me Malala and Pitch Perfect 2. The student was able to provide thoughtful reviews of both films. The student also experimented with page layouts and was able to put together a composition that resembled the design of a film magazine. The young person illustrated her reviews with pictures from each film and a drawing of Malala herself.
